Clothing: Campers will be outside all day and they will get dirty. Please do not dress campers in new or expensive clothing.
Bathing Suit & Towel: Please send children to camp WEARING swim suits every day. Pack dry underwear & shorts for them to change into and a plastic bag for wet stuff. Also, if you have them we will allow the use of flip-flops for the purpose of going from the waterfront to the bathroom in a hurry, but we will not allow them to be worn anywhere else in camp.
Proper Footwear: Campers must have shoes that tie/Velcro and have significant tread. Flip-flops, open-backed or open toed shoes, slip-ons, and shoes with little or no tread are not permitted at camp.
Sunscreen: Campers must have their own and be capable of applying it throughout the day.
Water Bottle: Campers must have a water bottle every day as they are very active and need to keep cool and hydrated, there are water fountains located throughout camp which kids can use to refill their water bottles, as water is heavy I recommend packing a small water bottle to lighten your campers load.
Lunch: Campers will be provided with a hot lunch (includes a salad bar) and a light afternoon snack.
Backpack: Light, comfortable back packs to keep all belongings in (please no handheld bags as we hike almost 2 miles a day).
Weather Gear: Appropriate dress is required. Campers and staff are outside rain or shine! We recommend keeping a rain poncho in their packs at all times (you can get them at Rite Aid for under $5 they are compact and light).
Medication: All medication to be administered must be prescribed by a doctor and in its original labeled container. A parent/guardian must complete an authorization form prior to the start of camp. Should your child need an antihistamine, ibuprofen, etc., during the day, it will be dispensed through the camp infirmary and you will be notified.
Please do not allow your child to bring any of the following to camp: cash, computer games, expensive jewelry/watches, pagers, cell phones, candy/gum, stereos, scooters, trading or playing cards. Your child will be dismissed from camp without refund if he/she brings any of the following items to camp: Alcohol/Drugs, Animals, Cigarettes, and Firearms/Weapons
